Corporate Donors

Currently, there are 71 donors supporting the H2Global Foundation’s work. Our donors come from around the world and cover the whole clean hydrogen value chain, from plant manufacturers and operators to logistics industry and mid-streamers, to diverse consumers. They are united by their commitment to actively contribute to global environmental and climate protection.

The Foundation is at the forefront of the clean energy transition, leveraging market-based models such as H2Global to drive progress. To expand these initiatives and carry out our activities, we rely heavily on the financial commitment and technical expertise of our esteemed donors. The H2Global Foundation is always open to new donors who wish to support this mission.

Government

The German federal government committed €3.5 million to three research projects of the H2Global Foundation: "Green Hydrogen and PtX" (completed),"H2Global meets Africa" (2023–25), and "H2Global Knowledge Hub" (2023–26). Research conducted by the Foundation is dedicated to issues pertaining to the establishment of the clean hydrogen economy. The Foundation is regularly looking for new opportunities to collaborate with international research institutions on new research projects.

Philanthropy

The Bezos Earth Fund committed US$1 million in 2024 to support the H2Global Foundation accelerate clean hydrogen markets globally. The grant aims to support the H2Global Foundation in helping countries outside the European Union jump-start hydrogen markets using the innovative H2Global mechanism; establishing one bilateral window or import window that will mobilize up to US$1 billion; laying the groundwork for a new funding window in 2025; and working with the Earth Fund and other stakeholders to design innovative mechanisms to accelerate markets for hydrogen derivatives and associated commodities. The H2Global Foundation is always open to new philanthropic donors who wish to support its mission and help build a more sustainable world.
