Hamburg, Germany – December 12, 2025 – H2Global Foundation today announced that Executive Director, Dr. Susana Moreira, will step down from her role, effective December 31, 2025, having successfully achieved her mandate to implement critical organizational structure, drive strategic initiatives, and significantly expand the Foundation’s global resource mobilization efforts.
Since joining the Foundation in 2023, Dr. Moreira spearheaded the effort to bring strategic integration and organizational stability, successfully building a cohesive platform to expand H2Global’s reach. She initiated and secured substantial philanthropic engagement, which included successfully securing US$7 million in new grants that established a solid financial base for the Foundation’s growth. Furthermore, Dr. Moreira drove innovation through the ideation and launch of the Solutions Lab, which now serves as the permanent home for H2Global’s work on hard-to-abate sectors and the Foundation’s crucial H2Global Shipping Initiative, alongside leading the development and launch of the Foundation’s new websites.
Under her direction, the research division expanded its scope and influence, issuing internationally recognized publications that actively inform policy in the global clean energy transition. Dr. Moreira successfully fostered collaborative relationships with governments, developing a highly successful engagement with India, Chile, Namibia, amongst others, significantly expanding outreach to key international organizations, including IEA, OECD, IMO, WB and EBRD as well as sector leaders like Hydrogen Council. Her tenure also included successfully introducing a summer internship program, cultivating the next generation of global clean energy talent.
