H2Global Foundation And Tokyo Metropolitan Government Unite To Promote Clean Hydrogen
Tokyo, February 2, 2024 – Today, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) and the H2Global Foundation (H2Global) inked a cooperation agreement, underscoring their joint commitment to promote clean hydrogen on a global scale. The agreement was signed by Ms. Yuriko Koike, the Governor of Tokyo, and Markus Exenberger, Executive Director of the H2Global Foundation.
TMG aims to increase the demand for hydrogen energy and to implement it in society as early as possible as part of efforts to secure a stable energy supply and to decarbonize the energy industry. In this new partnership, H2Global is leveraging its experience with market-based instruments and auction expertise to establish clean hydrogen markets globally. The aim is to promote closer cooperation in the exchange of information on topics such as trading and logistics and to cooperate in the development of hydrogen exchanges and related activities.
Together, TMG and H2Global aim to contribute to the global transition to a sustainable and decarbonized energy landscape. This collaboration marks a significant step in addressing the common challenges associated with the energy transition.
